Danish design chair
This rare Danish Svend Skipper grey wingback chair comes with full galore and volume. Tremendously recognisable Danish design chair and a testament to the mid century design era. This particular 50s design is a Model 91 Papa Bear chair from the Skipper Møbelfabrik and is fully reupholstered with the Ploeg wool Accent 01/08. Please do appreciate this lounge chair is not to be recognised for Hans Jørgen Wegner's Papa Bear chair. This Svend Skipper easychair features a teak base as well as sculpted teak "paws" at the end of the arms. The fat sides, high back and big ears not only provide for that coveted silhouette but add to the comfort of this chair.
Comfortable high back armchair!
The ergonomics of this high back armchair are fantastic and that is not a given in design furniture. We had it recently upholstered in a De Ploeg wool to stay as close as possible to the design quality. The fabric selected is Ploeg Accent 01/08 a 100% pure wool and really adds to the quality of this piece.
The teak base has been re-oiled and is in excellent condition. Overall this grey accent chair is in an excellent vintage condition.
