Mid century rosewood desk with tigerish grandeur. This mid century rosewood desk with an absolutely marvellous and lush veneer will complete any high end office space. It comprises two banks of drawers of which the top drawers can be locked and has a compartiment on the back that can be locked for books.
A vintage writing table!
The desk will look great as a free standing piece with the sides and the back veneer cut from one piece. If you look closely you'll see the sides have a similar print (one veneer cut further) and the veneer on the drawer banks matches the veneer on the back. All of this is the culmination of quite a bit of craftsmanship that adds to the quality and looks of the desk. The legs of the desk are made out of solid rosewood. We had the top refinished with a cellulose laquer system adding a layer of robustness to the top. There are signs of use and time on the base frame and the drawer banks with a minor repair to one of the drawers but none of those disturb really. For this reason we give this desk a very good vintage condition mark.
