Feel free to stare down this Danish mid-century two tier sideboard or credenza with hutch. It took us some time to grasp it too ;-) A truly amazing Danish beauty made out of teak veneer and bits of solid palissander. The top half is held up by two palissander arms that are elegantly carved in an organic shape.
Much of the cabinet is made out of solid wood, with rich teak veneer. This all culminates into a remarkable chest, remarkably heavy also… A design credenza like this one is in the top category of woodworking by Bornholms Møbelfabrik. This continues through on the inside of the chest where the bottom part is skilfully fitted with shelves and bronze fitted grips on seriously solid drawers out of solid teak. Drawers in the top part of the cabinet are covered in green felt. Extremely lush looking and ideal for storing important documents and the like.
This Danish split level chest is in very good vintage condition. It hardly shows this piece of 'funky furniture' resides already more than 50 years on this planet.
